Systemized procedures to confirm fair dealings with the airlines
GDS Airline Reservation System working as following: A range of electronic ticket numbers is assigned to the Agent. The Airline assigns ticketing authority to the Agent to allow the issue of ETs through the GDS system. GDS transactions are forwarded to a central BSP Data processing center (DPC).
The DPC, in turn, processes all the transactions and refunds. The intermediate makes just one net remittance covering all its BSP transactions for that period for all BSP Airlines. The BSP preferred method of payment is by direct debit internally, airlines' direct distribution works within their reservation system, as well as pushing out information to the GDS.

Rules like reservation conditions are customized differently between different city pairs and allocated a class of service related to its suitable list bucket. List control can also be manipulated manually via the availability feeds, effective controlling how many seats are provided for a particular price by opening and closing specific classes.
Finally the systems like SITA / ATPCO who distributes the fare tariffs and rule sets to all GDSs and other subscribers with different revenue managers.
